Tailwhip is bringing Florida’s Favorite Comedy Show* back to Gainesville on April 10th.
Headlining the night is the viral comedic creative, Dan Carney. He performs nationwide with special appearances on "The Almost Friday Podcast", "Will & Rusty's Playdate", and "The Tim Dillon Show". Carney performed on tour with Tim Dillon. Carney is a comedy content powerhouse known for his viral sketch comedy, unique storytelling, and sharp acting chops. He has earned a devoted and quickly growing fanbase of ~200K followers. In 2024 he was named one of New York Comedy Festival’s “Creators To Watch”. He has contributed for the popular digital sketch team Friday Beers. His work has been featured in The New Yorker and Vulture.

Tailwhip Comedy’s monthly Free Creative Collective happens every second Wednesday — a hands-on workshop for writers and performers ready to sharpen their comedy. Each session guides you through targeted writing exercises, collaborative feedback, and polishing techniques to get material stage- and screen-ready. Whether you’re testing new bits, tightening jokes, or building a short set, the Collective offers a supportive, practical space to develop your voice and craft. Free to attend and open to all experience levels. Bring pages, ideas, or a willingness to work.
Green Room - Florida Comedy Discord (Copy)
Florida Comedy Green Room — a biweekly Discord stage where comedians and producers from across the state gather to check the pulse of Florida comedy. Expect candid conversation about show logistics, booking, promotion, and the issues that affect performers and producers alike, plus casual hangouts, networking, and deep dives into craft, policy, and community-building. Whether you’re a headliner, an open-mic regular, or running a venue, bring your questions, stories, and ideas — this is where the scene talks shop and plots its next moves. Meetings are conversational, constructive, and open to anyone working in or supporting Florida comedy.
Florida's Favorite Comedy Show* w/ BEN ROY
Roy has been featured on HBO's Funny as Hell series; as well as on the Comedy Central shows Adam DeVine's House Party, Corporate, @midnight, This Is Not Happening, and TruTV's Talk Show The Game Show. Ben has also released five stand-up comedy albums and was listed as one of Variety's Top 10 Comics to Watch. In 2023 his first streaming stand up special, 'HYENA', was released on YouTube by 800LB Gorilla Media. That same year NPR listed 'HYENA' as one of their Top Specials Of 2023. From that success, 'HYENA' was licensed by HULU and Disney+ and began streaming on their platforms in July of 2024. Ben will be recording his sixth album at the world famous Comedy Works Downtown in January 2026.
